The editor of Jung’s Red and Black Books, Sonu Shamdasani, said that the books will completely reorient Jungian scholarship and take more than a generation to assimilate. I will distill the Black Books and my experience of them: their role in Jung’s Red Book and Collected Works; historical significance; characters, chronology, and writing/painting process; and relevance to the strange ‘Spirit of the Times’ we are living in now. I will have trails for the future that can be food for thought — or food for soul.
