Mid-Winter Celebrations: Food for the Soul

The inner man has to be fed—a fact that moderns, with their frivolous trust in reason, often overlook to their own harm. The Christmas Tree is one of those customs which are food for the soul, nourishment for the inner man. And the more primordial the material they use, the more promising these customs are for the future. —C. G. Jung Speaking: Interviews and Encounters

Solstice traditions from around the world will be the subject of our meeting. Prepare your mulled wine or wassail from your favorite recipe or from the recipes below. Grab some mistletoe, holly and spruce branches to decorate. Make your home festive with candles, hearth fire and gnomes. Feel free to dress an evergreen tree and add a creche. We will create a virtual hearth to share stories and beloved family traditions.
