A crença na hereditariedade da violência familiar permaneceu enraizada na cultura grega até o séc. VI a.C., quando dominava a célula política e social do génos– a família. As três Erínias detinham a função de punir os crimes cometidos entre parentes, sendo responsáveis pela maldição familiar que persistia dentro da família por várias gerações. O objetivo da live é apresentar a mitologia das Erínias e da maldição familiar dos Atridas–os descendentes do rei Atreu, explorando a riqueza simbólica destes mitos antigos que, no entanto, se mantêm presentes no mundo contemporâneo, associados a outros nomes, atualizados por meio dos dramas e complexos familiares transmitidos através das gerações.
Greek Mythology – The Greek Myth of the Family Curse
Belief in the heredity of family violence remained rooted in Greek culture until the 16th century. VI BC, when the political and social cell of the génos – the family – dominated. The three Erinyes held the function of punishing crimes committed between relatives, being responsible for the family curse that persisted within the family for several generations. The purpose of the live is to present the mythology of the Erinyes and the family curse of the Atridas – the descendants of King Atreus, exploring the symbolic richness of these ancient myths that, however, remain present in the contemporary world, associated with other names, updated through of family dramas and complexes passed down through the generations.
