In the Zaresthustra lectures Jung states “It is a fact that we have bodies which have been created by the self, so we must assume that the self really means us to live in the body, to live that experiment, live our lives. [The] body is . . . one of the experiments in the visibility of the self”. When we ignore the body we miss out on one of the most accessible (albeit sometimes uncomfortable ) sources of transformation.
Many techniques have been developed in the expressive arts of theater and dance that have relevance in psychological discovery and integration. In this experiential talk we will engage with simple physical and imaginative forms to engage the body and listen to its incarnate wisdom. Please wear comfortable clothing that allow you to move freely.
