This presentation will briefly explore Jung’s major works Symbols of Transformation, Mysterium Coniunctionis, Aion, and Answer to Job, a brief version of “The Call of Destiny,” Sparks’s new book, that addresses what Jung accomplished and why. In addition, an examination about the late conversation between Jung and M.L. von Franz concerning what Jung felt he did and did not achieve in his lifetime of creative work and where he hoped future research into the phenomenology of the unconscious would explore. Finally, the psychoid archetype (psyche and matter) will be covered and how Jung expanded his understanding of the archetype and symbol.

Target Audience

This educational activity is intended for behavioral health professionals, including Psychologists, Social Workers, Counselors, Nurses, and MFT’s interested in Depth Jungian Psychology and it application to clinical practice. Also the lay person interested in Jungian psychology and its application to everyday life.
