Commencing with an introduction to the concept of the new ancestors within analytical psychology, I wish to bring a (finalistic) look at the future and ask: what is the task of my generation? Which is the “agenda 2050” for analytical psychology? I feel the answer lies in the following (idiosyncratic) steps:

Stefano Carpani, M.A., M.Phil. is an Italian sociologist (Cambridge) and psychoanalyst trained at the C G Jung Institute Zurich, and a Ph.D. candidate in the Dept. of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytical Studies (Essex). He graduated in Literature and Philosophy (Milan). He works in private practice in Berlin. He is the initiator of the YouTube series and the editor of book Breakfast at Küsnacht: Conversations on C. G. Jung and Beyond (Chiron, 2020). He is the editor of The Plural Turn in Jungian and Post-Jungian Studies: The Work of Andrew Samuels (Routledge, 2021). The New Ancestors: Anthology of Contemporary Classics in Analytical psychology (Routledge) is forthcoming in 2022.
