The search for the Holy Grail has captured our imagination since Chretien de Troyes wrote Perceval: The Story of the Grail in the 12th century. The story’s pull lies, in part, in its archetypal meaning, its meeting of opposites, and its capacity to heal. In this course, we’ll read five works, including Chretien’s masterpiece, hoping to shed light on that which makes life most meaningful.
- Perceval: The Story of the Grail by Chretien de Troyes
- Till We Have Faces by C.S. Lewis
- The Spectator Bird by Wallace Stegner
- The Chymical Wedding by Lindsay Clarke
- Lila by Marilynne Robinson
I’m looking forward to seeing you.
