Basics of Jungian Ecopsychology
Ecopsychology can be described as the psychological dimension of Ecology (or, just as well, the ecological dimension of Psychology). Carl Jung’s Eco-Depth Psychological approach proposes that we are dealing with a deeper issue still: our loss of connection with nature is at its root neither a practical nor a psychological problem, but a spiritual one. The central idea is, that we are all Nature, and the way we as individuals relate to the unconscious is similar to the way we relate to other humans and to the environment.
In this workshop, we will get to know the important basics of Jungian Depth Psychology. We will also discuss how Jungian principles relate to our place in the ecosystem, and learn how personal and cultural complexes have split us off from nature. The aim of the workshop is to enable the participants to build an Ecotherapeutic framework which is not restricted to conscious events, and also to awaken our superpower - symbolic experiencing and thinking.
Although this event is part of the Ten Directions training course for ecotherapy practitioners, anybody can book and take part in this public online event. If you are interested, please do buy a ticket.
Please note that we will not be recording this online event. Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds to people who do not show up assuming that they will get a recording.
As our events are interactive, we kindly request that attendees have their cameras switched on to engage with the group experience (unless of course you have technical difficulties).
