This follow-up workshop builds directly on the lecture and offers participants an opportunity to observe Soul Contact in practice. Peter will conduct a live demonstration of a Soul Contact session with a volunteer from the audience, allowing participants to witness the structure, pacing, and relational quality of the work in real time.
Following the demonstration, there will be time for questions directed both to Peter and to the volunteer, offering insight into the subjective experience of the session as well as the clinician’s perspective. Peter emphasizes that the best way to learn this technique is first through observation. The worst that can happen in a session is that a person wakes up. Of course, sometimes successful sessions involve a tremendous amount of emotional release and sometimes the client needs time after the session to work through what has been revealed in a session.
Peter will allow ample time for questions. He has been practicing and teaching this technique effectively and safely for over 25 years.
Peter approaches hypnosis as a natural human experience, and believes that when used correctly—with care, collaboration, and the intention to help—it can be a powerful healing modality. Peter will take care to explain in detail the theory and practice of Soul Contact and the safety of this model, especially when conducted over Zoom. At its best, the Soul Contact method can be deeply healing and transformative; at worst, it remains a neutral experience. This workshop is designed to ground the theory discussed in the lecture in lived experience.
