While we love our children for so many reasons, one that is ineffable and often goes unrecognized is the reality that they are carriers of humanity’s future. Like the great artists, their hearts and souls are porous, absorbing the emotions of daily life as well as the archetypal zeitgeist of our times. However, the journey of their heart and soul often remains elusive even to the most wonderfully attentive of parents.  Here it takes the eye of one trained to understand unconscious dynamics, and the language of the soul as it speaks through children’s dreams, in play, in images and story. Here the deepest meaning of their life may be understood if we learn to listen to the language of the Self.
