How do relationships between women shape individuation? Why are bonds of sisterhood so often overlooked in psychology, despite their transformative potential?
This Psychosocial Wednesday explores sisterhood as a force for both personal and collective transformation. Drawing on Jungian psychology, feminist theory, and lived experience, the webinar examines how patriarchal structures can undermine solidarity among women while also considering how relationships of care, mutual support, and shared purpose can foster individuation. Using the example of a women-led urban occupation, the discussion will explore the archetypal foundations of sisterhood, the obstacles it faces, and its potential as both a clinical and political practice. Together, we will reflect on how women’s alliances can help create new forms of subjectivity, community, and social change.
