The three parts of the saga - "Society of the Ring", "The Two Towers" and "The Return of the King" - were analyzed as if they were dreams of a supposed dreamer. The guiding thread of this reflection - and of history itself - is a ring, a kind of “evil mandala”. The work shows how, throughout the saga, the heroes were sacrificing their personal desires in function of the collectivity
