My first career was in music. I earned a Masters Degree from the Yale School of Music and a Doctorate in Music from SUNY Stony Brook and played professionally for twenty years. I taught music at the City University of New York and the State University of New York. Then, in order to fulfill a lifelong interest in psychology, I attended the New York University School of Social Work and graduated in 1992. Upon graduation I worked as a psychotherapist at the Brooklyn Psychiatric Centers, the Fifth Avenue Center for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and the Therapy Center in Mt. Kisco, NY. I have been in full-time private practice since 1998.
