Initiation, Individuation and Cultural Change

The path of initiation involves the continuous breaking open of areas of the soul, the healing of core wounds as well as the revealing of the unique project of the deep self. Initiatory work involves a death of the little-self or ego attitudes and a breaking of spells on mind and body, in order to release our inner vitality and core imagination for life.

Initiation and individuation try to happen whenever the direction or meaning of life changes dramatically. We arrive at turning points where the map we have been given does not match the territory we find ourselves in. We are now in such a liminal period of radical change and potential renewal on a collective level; yet genuine transformation depends upon the awakening of individual souls.
