This seminar will explore the meaning and purpose of the Shadow; how it is encountered primarily in unconscious projection; Shadow content and processes; the personal and collective Shadow; the feeling most associated with theShadow, shame; Jung’s confrontation with his Shadow in the Red Book; the development of the shadow; the Shadow in dreams; and illustrations of the Shadow in literature and film.
