From Christine: I’ll be interweaving a reconsideration of Jung’s engagement with memoir writing in Memories, Dreams, Reflections with some reflections on memoir writing as a transformative challenge and an account of my own experience with memoir writing. My hope is to encourage participants to think about how they might put together their memoir, why they would write it, for whom they’d write it, where they’d start, what they’d include, and how they would order it. I hope to encourage us to begin to wonder about our own sense of what it is to be a self, our sense of the relationship in our own life between past, present and future, our sense of what constitute the most significant moments in your life and whether they conjoin to form some coherent plot.
