The phenomenon of the Russian collective unconscious now manifests itself in such a destructive form, so let’s found out what cultural complexes and traumas are determined it. Collective complexes not only determine the identity of the nation, but also the path of possible transformation, and therefore, one way or another, the path to the Self. Can we understand the messages of the Self, and if so, what are they and do we have the courage to embody them?
Dmitry Kotenko is an analytical psychologist, belongs to the Moscow Association of Analytical Psychology. Dmitry’s primary research interests are the dynamic life of Russian cultural complexes, the archetypes of life and death and the variety of shapes they have taken in recent history. His research interests also include the healing of collective trauma and the effects new media have on privacy and human behaviour. Dmitry is the founder of the APRG project (Analytical Psychology Research Group), which organizes and conducts group studies of collective processes in Russia. He lives and works in Moscow.
