The transformation mysteries of the Rosarium Philosophorum and the Egyptian Duat: a healing viewpoint on death. This seminar will be exploring the archetypal images of transformation as depicted in the alchemical series the Rosarium Philosophorum and its similarities to the more ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead, the Amduat. Repeatedly, the Amduat states: “It is good for the dead to have this knowledge, but also for a person on Earth; a remedy – a million times proven!”
Transformation mysteries are as old as the first humans who wondered about death and birth, and the space in-between. Death is one of the few certainties in life, and is not life’s enemy, but life’s partner. Together, life and death are responsible for the dance of eternal transformation, from one lifetime to the next.
