A Jungian Analyst, or Analytical Psychologist is someone who uses the ideas and techniques developed by CG Jung in the practice of individual psychotherapy.
Although the rich and powerful insights of Jungian psychology are widely quoted on social media and very influential across the mental health professions, there are not many people who are qualified to use the names Jungian Analyst or Analytical Psychologist.
There are currently less than 4000 qualified Jungian Analysts around the world. All were trained by a local organisation, officially certified by the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP) to train analysts. Organisation can only be certified to train at the triennial meeting of delegates of the IAAP, after a rigorous assessment.
