Erotic transference is discussed as something that is common to occur, but for which attention must be paid under the risk of acting out, which would be the literalization of the symbol and would have harmful results. The concept of "interactive field" introduced by Nathan Schwartz-Salant is analyzed for a deeper understanding of the analytical link. This notion is no different from what Carl Gustav Jung developed, since it was he who first demonstrated the existence of a third field in his analysis of the images of the alchemical treatise Rosarium Philosophorum, despite the way Schwartz-Salant used this notion in the clinic to new. Focusing on the “interactive field” promotes a profound transformation, dissolving even psychotic complexes, through the experience of coniunctio followed by alchemical mortificatio. Finally, the idea of ​​an “imaginal field” is presented as a more accessible alternative to working with the interactive field. Analytical psychotherapy, which proposes to have feeling as its focus of work, it could only operate through an affective bond.
