Eranos – a podcast play

an imagined conversation around the round table at Eranos

Eranos written by Henry Abramovitch and Murray Stein, is a play about history, ideas, and brilliant personalities. The action In this hour-long audio play, takes place around the great round table under the trees at Eranos.

Eranos just outside Ascona on the northern shores of Lago Maggiore has, since 1933, been the location of the annual gatherings called Eranos Tagungen. In the almost mythical early days (approx. 1933 to 1962), these annual conferences, hosted by Olga Fröbe-Kapteyn, brought Jung, and his inner circle,  together with leading scholars of comparative science, religions, moral sciences, and natural sciences. In the play it is August 1947 and we are invited to listen-in on the intimate and rich conversation among the people seated around the iconic round table at Eranos, including CG Jung and Aniela Jaffé, Erich Neumann, Rabbi Leo Baeck and Eranos founder and commanding presence, Olga Fröbe-Kaptyn.

Eranos was written by Murray Stein and Henry Abramovitch with Dariane Pictet, Paul Brusche, Gary Hayes, Katherin Scaeppi, John Hill and Murray Stein. Music performed by Barbara Miller Sound designed by Joaquin Rivas directed and produced by Luis Moris. Eranos is a production of Blue Salamandra.
