The vibrant spirit of Mexico City will host the 7th Analysis and Activism Conference from November 5–8, 2026, marking a significant milestone for the International Association for Analytical Psychology’s most politically engaged forum. Themed “Transcending Divisions: Borders, Identity, and the Rekindling with Our Shared Humanity,” this gathering responds to rising authoritarianism, exclusionary nationalism, and the psychic toll of hardened boundaries in our global moment.
Rooted in Jungian thought and inspired by voices such as Gloria Anzaldúa and Carlos Fuentes, the conference explores both internal and external borders as sites of trauma, transformation, and resilience. It continues the forum’s tradition of bridging analytical psychology with activism—creating space for vision, dialogue, and deep listening in response to contemporary crises.
Since its founding over a decade ago, the Analysis and Activism Forum has convened groundbreaking conferences in Europe and online. This seventh iteration will be its first in-person meeting in North America, and a vital opportunity for connection, especially for communities historically underrepresented in Jungian discourse.
The program will feature presentations, workshops, bodywork, social dreaming matrices, cultural excursions, and a gala dinner. Submissions are still open and warmly welcomed from clinicians, scholars, and activists alike. If you would like to present, please send a 300-word abstract and short bio by October 31, 2025 to [email protected].
As we prepare for this gathering just after Mexico’s Día de los Muertos, we do so with gratitude for the Forum’s growing influence—and optimism that this meeting will deepen our collective capacity to reimagine borders and affirm our shared humanity.
