an IAAP developing group in Wroclaw, Poland
Parent organisation:
The Polish Association for Analytical Psychology (PTPA) was established in February 2001. The PTPA is a professional association of psychotherapists, psychologists, doctors, teachers, students and other persons interested in analytical psychology by Carl Gustav Jung.
The PTPA is the first Polish association engaged in popularizing theories and clinical practices based on Carl Gustav Jung’s idea, as well as highlighting the achievements of analytical psychologists from around the world. The PTPA aims to promote and popularize the knowledge of analytical psychology in Poland as well as organize professional training.
The Association, since its beginnings, has been cooperating closely with the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), at first as a Developing Group. Since 2010, the PTPA has received from the IAAP the status of Routers’ Group (a group of trainees in individual training in Jungian analysis). Every year, the number of the PTPA’s members with the status of router and Individual Member of IAAP increases. At present, 9 PTPA members have already completed training and become IAAP Individual Members and Provisional Members.
The PTPA is an organizational member of the Polish Council of Psychotherapy and the Polish Federation of Psychotherapy.
The Polish Association for Analytical Psychology is based on the law of associations (law in force in Poland), on the Statute of PTPA and the present rules of ethics.
PTPA authorities consist of the Board of Management, the Audit Committee and the Court of Arbitration (Ethics Committee).
