Gaia: Then and Now – Song of the Earth
Gaia: Then and Now is a series of ARAS webinars that focus on our relationship to the Earth, as revealed through the study of ancient and contemporary symbolic imagery as it appears in myth, the visual arts, dance, and dramatic story telling. With widely varying but complementary perspectives, the speakers will present commentary, visual images, original videos, and engage with the online audience in interactive dialogue.
Song of the Earth
Song of the Earth is an audio journey in words and music that takes us inward to explore our relationship with Earth and the climate crisis, and then outward to share new insights with others. Telling a story that begins 14 billion years ago and ends in the present—it opens us to the anguish and disorientation of disintegration, while giving us hope that life-threatening dangers will be a catalyst for evolution.
