This workshop explores the engagement with death and mortality as an important task and potential catalyst in the individuation process. Drawing on C. G. Jung and cultural wisdom traditions, the workshop will examine how the avoidance of death and mortality in contemporary culture fuels anxiety, spiritual and materialist bypassing and even cultural polarization, while an engaged orientation to impermanence can open pathways toward psychological depth, meaning, and renewal. Through lecture, experiential practice and heartful dialogue, the workshop supports participants in cultivating a grounded capacity to engage mortality and impermanence themes in order to facilitate meaning and individuation and to accompany suffering, loss, and life transitions.
