In this talk, Diana draws on the material from the book she wrote in 2003 about her father Peter Baynes (Helton Godwin Baynes) called Jung’s Apprentice. In it she describe her father’s relationship with Jung, as well as their professional collaboration before he established his own clinical practice and created a separate ‘Jungian world’ in London. The war made further meetings between the two of them impossible but they remained in close contact, exchanging many letters until her father’s untimely death in 1943.
