In this seminar, we will illustrate the psychological conflicts of the Puer/Puella* archetype through various examples in myths and fairy tales. These conflicts will be grounded using Jungian and Post-Jungian concepts and theories regarding the Puer Archetype. The seminar also includes a discussion of Puer and Puella representations throughout culture, lived experience, and clinical scenarios. To finalise, we will close with a group discussion in order to deepen the material with participants.
*In Jungian psychology, the puer and puella archetypes represent the “eternal boy” and “eternal girl” within the psyche.
