Construir una arquetipología Latinoamericana significa dar continuidad a los esfuerzos del Jung viajero (Taos Nuevo México, Monte Elgón Africa, India), quien iba en búsqueda tanto de las raíces comunes del ser humano expresadas en sus mitos y ritos, como de vivificar la vida simbólica que veía marchitarse en occidente. Las grandes preguntas actuales sobre la ecología, la política y, desde luego, la psique, pueden hallar un nuevo ímpetu (reactivación libidinal), en imágenes que hemos considerado salvajes, poco conscientes o, cuando menos, de menor cuño que las griegas o las egipcias. Incluso los mismos Latinoamericanos las hemos visto así, lo cual resulta realmente lamentable. Actualmente se inician algunos esfuerzos en el campo junguiano por esta investigación y yo mismo, sobre todo desde 2013 vengo trabajando sobre el tema, del cual ofreceré un acercamiento mediante la observación de un descubrimiento de apenas 30 años en la selva amazónica colombiana, ofreciéndonos un material tremendamente rico en imágenes arquetípicas.

Archetypal images in the pictography and stories of the Chiribiquete Cultural Tradition
Building a Latin American archetypal means giving continuity to the efforts of the traveling Jung (Taos New Mexico, Monte Elgón Africa, India), who was searching both for the common roots of the human being expressed in his myths and rites, and for vivifying the symbolic life that he saw withering in the West. The big current questions about ecology, politics and, of course, the psyche, can find a new impetus (libidinal reactivation), in images that we have considered wild, little conscious or, at least, smaller than the Greek or the Egyptian. Even Latin Americans themselves have seen them like this, which is really unfortunate. Currently some efforts are beginning in the Jungian field for this research and I, especially since 2013 I have been working on the subject,of which I will offer an approach by observing a discovery of just 30 years in the Colombian Amazon jungle, offering us a material tremendously rich in archetypal images.
