This introductory class will cover the fundamental constructs of Jung’s theory, many of which have entered the popular culture. Persona, shadow, numinous, archetype, and synchronicity are terms now found in the news, podcasts, magazines, movies, and videos. In this introductory class we will read and discuss these fundamental ideas as a learning community. The class is appropriate for those who are beginning their Jungian journey as well as for those who are familiar with Jungian theory and want a place to deepen it. Our text will be Jung’s Map of the Soul by Murray Stein; Jungian analyst, author, and teacher.
