While Empaths connect deeply and personally to others, they are often vulnerable to emotional exploitation or may feel overwhelming responsibility to act as untrained “healers” to those around them – often at great emotional and practical cost to themselves. This workshop will explore the dynamics and dangers of a “too empathic” position and consider what “mature” and skillful empathy could look like. In this seminar, I will offer a detailed view of empathic dynamics and explore an ethical structure which can guide an empathically informed life.
