REX AND REGINA IN MYSTERIUM CONIUNCTIONIS

The aim of the seminar is to study in detail the Chapter IV in Mysterium Coniunctionis, CW 14 §349-543. Why did Jung devote so much of this book to the subject of the King and Queen in Alchemy. We will discuss the symbol of King and Queen. Why is it still relevant today in 21st century psychology for the treatment of psychological illness, the maturation and transformation of the human personality and an understanding of the structure and workings of the Collective Unconscious. Reading in detail some of the paragraphs and discussing their significance will hopefully assist our clinical work.
