Sandplay often leads people to think only of its use with children. In this presentation, the speaker will offer the opportunity of seeing into the facilitation of adult material and the subsequent imagery which manifests. Dora Kalff, the founder of ISST, through her friendship with both Emma and Carl Jung, learnt of the work of Margaret Lowenfeld (World Technique). She immediately understood how this model of sand and figures could support the forming of images and their psychological importance if underpinned with Jung’s perspective of the efficacy of symbols.
