Stand By The Mother: Finding the Creatura
A series of fundraising lectures in support of Palestinian mothers
This online series brings together leading scholars and practitioners to explore themes in depth psychology while offering vital support for mothers in Palestine facing unprecedented hardship.
The Creatura is a Gnostic Christian concept reintroduced by Jung in the active imaginations that he published in 1916 as the Seven Sermons to the Dead, as if written by Basilides of Alexandria. Jung subsequently included them in the “Scrutinies” section of Liber Novus, there delivered by Philemon (published in The Red Book, 2009). This lecture
by Dr Beebe will explore our present need to rediscover the Creatura if the suffering of the world that surrounds us is to be adequately addressed by depth psychology.
This event is hosted by Heba Zaphiriou-Zarifi, training analyst and supervisor, a registered member of GAP, UKCP and IAAP. She is a seminar leader and workshop facilitator in embodied Active Imagination. Heba is also a body-psychotherapist and graduate of the Leadership Training Program of the Marion Woodman Foundation. A published author in many academic journals, she conceived and developed this Stand By The Mother lecture series.
There are no registration fees. A voluntary contribution in support of mothers in Palestine, striving to maintain safety and dignity for their families under highly challenging conditions, will be greatly appreciated.
Please donate generously in support of these courageous and dedicated mothers, whose profiles are shared with their consent.
