The Truman Show is a modern allegory which raises crucial questions about the control exerted by our contemporary high-tech society. Are our existences merely a story within a story, where reality seems to appear and disappear? We will discuss our individual responsibilities amidst these shifting “realities”. No film has ever dealt so uniquely with these psychological, spiritual and philosophical themes, in such a graphic and intimate way, as this 1998 movie.
