O autor faz uma revisão da literatura a respeito de gênero e sexualidade na psicologia analítica e articula a psicologia junguiana às contribuições contemporâneas da teoria social acerca de gênero e sexualidade, propondo a noção de complexo heteropatriarcal como construto teórico capaz de abarcar estes fenômenos na contemporaneidade. Para exemplificar sua hipótese, traz a análise do documentário Bixa Travesty, de Linn da Quebrada.

The author reviews the literature on gender and sexuality in analytical psychology and links Jungian psychology to the contemporary contributions of social theory about gender and sexuality, proposing the notion of heteropatriarchal complex as a theoretical construct capable of embracing these phenomena in contemporary times. To exemplify his hypothesis, he brings the analysis of the documentary Bixa Travesty, by Linn da Quebrada.
