Articles on the history of Jungian Psychology from original sources

Four issues of the Jung HIstory Newsletter from The Philemon Foundation

You may not know about the short-lived journal/newsletter of The Philemon Foundation titled Jung History, which was produced between 2005 and 2007. There are four beautifully designed issues with scholarly historical articles based on original source materials. All four issues are avialable for download in PDF format directly from the Philemon Foundation’s website.

Founded in 2003 by Sonu Shamdasani and Stephen A. Martin, the Philemon Foundation is dedicated to publishing the complete works of Carl Gustav Jung including his unpublished manuscripts, seminars, and 35,000 letters. Under Dr. Shamdasani’s leadership, the Philemon Series aims to provide scholars and the public with a fuller understanding of Jung’s influence on psychology.

An independent, non-profit organization, the Philemon Foundation collaborates with the Stiftung der Werke von C. G. Jung to ensure these works meet the highest scholarly standards. Unlike the commercial Collected Works, the Foundation’s mission focuses solely on making Jung’s unpublished materials accessible, relying entirely on donations to support its efforts.

It is worth mentioning again that, not only are the articles in of a high standard including authors like Murray Stein, Sonu Shamdasani, Miachel Whan, Ernst Falzeder and others, these “newsletters” are also beautiful publications. I am lucky enough to have a hard copy of one in my own library.
