Attention Earthlings!

A hybrid workshop by the C.G. Jung Institute of LA

Tomorrow on January 25, the C.G. Jung Institute of Los Angeles invites you to explore the enigmatic realm of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) and their significance through the lens of Jungian psychology.

The workshop is inspired by Carl Jung’s seminal 1958 essay Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Skies. In his essay, Jung explored the psychological underpinnings of the mid-20th-century “saucer epidemic” and its broader implications for humanity’s collective psyche.

This workshop features a distinguished panel of Jungian analysts and scholars who will bring their expertise to this enduring mystery. Their presentations will reflect on past and recent U.S. government reports about unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), while exploring Jung’s ideas on spiritual hunger, societal fragmentation, and the collective quest for meaning.

Participants are encouraged to read Jung’s essay Flying Saucers as a foundational text, though it is not required for attendance. You can listen to the audio version of the book here.
