The 34th annual Jung on the Hudson summer seminar series, hosted by the New York Center for Jungian Studies, returns online in July 2025. Open to the public and professionals, this event offers a rejuvenating escape to dive into Jung’s psychology with a stellar faculty. The weeklong seminar, The Pitfalls of Perfection (July 20–24), examines how the pursuit of perfection undermines wholeness, fostering guilt and blocking creativity, as Jung argued. Presentations by James Hollis, Morgan Stebbins, Ann Ulanov, Dennis Slattery, and Tina Stromsted explore this theme through myths like Narcissus and Echo, and embodied practices inspired by Marion Woodman.
The series concludes with Richard Tarnas’ weekend workshop (July 25–26), The Importance of Synchronicity, exploring how these meaningful coincidences guide life, therapy, and our postmodern age, offering spiritual nourishment amid contested narratives. Attracting participants from 29 states and nine countries last year, this internationally attended event promises deep insight and connection.
