Junguiana, the scientific journal of the Sociedade Brasileira de Psicologia Analítica (SBPA), has been dedicated to the development of analytical psychology and related fields since 1983. Published twice a year, it features original articles, reviews, clinical cases, interviews, and more, offering a space for rigorous and reflective contributions. Open to scientific, cultural, social, and contemporary political discussions, Junguiana fosters a broad dialogue that deepens and expands the understanding of analytical psychology. The latest issue Junguiana (vol. 42, 2024), is now available to read online in full. All articles are available in Portuguese and English.

Opening the issue  Marcia Moura Coelho’s Between Plants, Trees and Dreams — The Regenerative Nature of the Psyche and the Climate Chaos, examines the psyche’s regenerative potential amidst climate chaos, linking nature’s resilience to psychological healing.

Gustavo Pessoa demonstrates the value of a Jungian analysis of social dynamics in his paper Identities, Oppressions and the Unconscious which investigates how unconscious processes shape identities and perpetuate oppressions. In Nise da Silveira and the Companion Species, Guilherme Franzon Berti and Rodrigo Caprio Leite de Castro explore Brazilian psychiatrist Nise da Silveira’s therapeutic use of animals, aligning it with Jungian principles. Higor Rafael Alves Dino’s Anima, Animus, Eros, and Psyche: A Coniunctio-Rescue of the Soul analyzes anima and animus through the Eros-Psyche myth, proposing soul integration via coniunctio. Patrícia Dias Gimenez’s Images of Coniunctio in Sandplay: When Eros and Psyche Play in the Sand examines sandplay therapy, focusing on coniunctio imagery in therapeutic settings.

The republications include Ana Lia B. Aufranc’s Ethics and the Analytical Process, reflecting on ethical considerations in Jungian analysis, and Nairo de Souza Vargas’s Marriage and Family as a Path to Individuation, exploring familial relationships as a conduit for individuation.
