Psychosocial Wednesdays, IAJS, Bion and Beyond

event series kicking off in January
As we begin the year, several exciting event series are kicking off. Here’s a selection of notable opportunities to plan for in the coming months:

Psychosocial Wednesdays

On January 15, 2025, Psychosocial Wednesdays launches a new season with a digital salon featuring Pia Skogemann. She will share insights from her groundbreaking book, Waxing Femininity: Adult Female Development from the Perspective of C.G. Jung’s Psychology, now available in English as part of the JUNGIANEUM/Books series. JUNGIANEUM is a multi-faceted initiative supporting contemporary analytical psychology and neo-Jungian studies.

IAJS 2025 Seminar Series

The International Association for Jungian Studies (IAJS) has announced its 2025 seminar series, offering discussions on classical and contemporary Jungian thought. The series kicks off on January 25 with “Archetypal Ontology,” featuring philosopher Jon Mills and psychiatrist Erik Goodwyn in a dialogue about the origins and relevance of archetypes in modern Jungian studies.

On March 15, the seminar “Why Are Jungians Writing Novels (Doing Art)?” will explore the intersection of Jungian psychology and creative expression, and later in the year, Monica Luci will present “Contemporary Wars of Terror”. On November 8, Safron Rossi will lead a seminar titled “Astrology and Alchemy”, exploring the microcosm of the soul.

Bion Meets Jung: Exploring a Third Modality

On January 25, 2025, the Society of Analytical Psychology (SAP) will launch Bion Meets Jung: A Third Modality, a groundbreaking online seminar series. The series explores how integrating Wilfred Bion’s and Carl Jung’s ideas can enhance emotional communication and facilitate transformation in psychotherapy. Monthly sessions run from January to November, for a total of 9 sessions.
