The 7th Analysis and Activism (A&A) Conference, Transcending Divisions: Borders, Identity, and the Rekindling of Our Shared Humanity, is set for November 5-8, 2026, in vibrant Mexico City. Building on over a decade of groundbreaking work since its inception, A&A has hosted six conferences across London, Rome, Prague, Ljubljana, and online, fostering a dialogue between Jungian psychoanalysis and political activism. This in-person conference, the first in Mexico, responds to rising global authoritarianism and anti-immigrant policies, exploring borders—both literal and psychological—as sites of trauma and resilience, inspired by thinkers like Jung, Hillman, and Anzaldua.
The committee invites paper proposals on topics like identity, division, and psychoanalytic responses to political crises, especially from underrepresented regions. Proposals of 300-word abstracts and bios can be sent to [email protected] by October 31 2025. You can access more info on submission details in English and in Spanish.
