In the video above Murray Stein interviews and introduces Lena Måndotter the invited speaker for the 2024 edition of the Zurich Lecture Series, titled “The Song of the Soul: The Transpersonal Dimension of Sound and Psyche.”
This year’s lectures, accompanied by a concert, will explore how music can act as a bridge to deep psychological and spiritual transformation, particularly focusing on the human voice as a “musical mirror” of the soul. Themes include how liberating the voice can facilitate psychospiritual healing and how sound can serve as a vessel for inner transformation.
The first lecture, concert and dinner on Wednesday, 2 October will be held at the “Zunfthaus zur Schmiden” (Guild House for Blacksmiths), a beautiful city palace located since 1412 at Marktgasse 20, close to the Limmat River in the heart of old Zurich. The sumptuous late-Gothic Guildhall and the historic rooms with style, warm hospitality and tradition will make you feel welcome. It is a special privilege to celebrate the Zurich Lecture Series at this grand location.
