The aims of the Eranos Foundation, established by the will of its Founder, Mrs. Olga Fröbe-Kapteyn (October 19, 1881 – April 25, 1962), and as regulated by its Statutes, are:

• The organization of annual interdisciplinary Conferences, called Eranos Tagungen, in the spirit and according to the intentions of their Founder, Mrs. Olga Fröbe-Kapteyn, in the fields of comparative science of religions, moral sciences, and natural sciences, and on the model of the prestigious symposia promoted in Ascona-Moscia since 1933;

• The collaboration with other institutions, in order to create further opportunities for interdisciplinary dialogue in the spirit of Eranos;

• The collection of the conferences themselves in the Eranos Yearbooks (Eranos-Jahrbücher), to be released by a publishing house, and the dissemination with the modern media, in order to reach with the Eranos message the widest possible circle of interested people;

• The creation of a place of work and reflection for persons active in the intellectual field; persons who, at the discretion of the Foundation Board, meet these requirements may be provided, for short or possibly long periods, with accommodation in the property of Eranos, free of charge or against payment of a modest share of the costs.
