I have always been keenly interested in music. After graduating high school, I began working with various Toronto musicians and released one of Toronto’s first independent LPs: Numbers by an ensemble of musicians and artists. I also recorded an LP with a New Wave band in Toronto during the late 1970’s:  Drastic Measures. Strong influences in my early days in Toronto included Vincent Tangredi and Nash the Slash. At the beginning of 1980, I left Toronto for the United Kingdom. I lived in London, England, and for eight years, wrote and recorded music. In the mid-1980s I hoped for a recording contract and flirted with Virgin Records briefly.
