Jungians Who Create

Live online seminar, Saturday 15 March

The IAJS, in partnership with Pacifica Extension and International Studies, will host an online seminar on March 15, 2025, titled Why Are Jungians Writing Novels (Doing Art)? This conversation will explore the reasons behind the growing trend of Jungians turning to fiction and other creative mediums.

Each of the featured speakers has contributed significantly to Jungian-inspired literature. Erik Goodwyn’s fantasy saga Raven’s Tale series, uses symbolic and mythological imagery to explore the depths of the human soul. Frank N. McMillan wrote The Young Healer, a novel about a boy’s transformative journey into shamanic healing, and The Lost Girls, a thriller set in the dark underworld of human trafficking. Susan Rowland has written the Mary Wandwalker mystery series, as well as the forthcoming The Swan Lake Murders (2025), all of which weave together themes of alchemy, feminism, and environmental crisis.

You can register for this seminar below.

Other works by creative Jungians we think you might enjoy include
Panic Attacks in Pistachio: A Psychological Detective Story by Henry Abramovich, and The Golden Notebook by Dorris Lessing.
