On March 28th, 2026, the Guild of Analytical Psychologists (GAP) invites prospective students to an Open Morning exploring their distinctive training pathway. Members of the Guild will answer questions about courses, application processes, and what distinguishes GAP’s approach. At the heart of their work lies the connection between Analytical Psychology and spirituality, an integration reflected throughout their curriculum.
Two Pathways: Introduction and Professional Training
GAP offers two courses for different stages of engagement. The Introductory Course to the Foundations of Analytical Psychology provides a two-term online seminar exploring Jungian thought through weekly discussions and member-led presentations. This course begins January 2027 with applications due December 7th, 2026.
For those committed to becoming fully qualified Jungian analysts, the Certificate and Diploma in Analytical Psychology offers comprehensive training typically spanning six to nine years. The three-year Certificate Course covers core theory through close reading of Jung’s Collected Works, The Red Book, and The Black Books, addressing fundamental concepts, individuation, psychopathology, religion and spirituality, myth and symbolism, transference and counter-transference, and dream and fairy tale interpretation.
Completion leads to the Diploma in Analytical Psychology, the clinical component requiring three to six years. Successful completion results in full certification as a Jungian analyst with UKCP, IAAP, and GAP membership.
The rigorous application process involves Applications Committee review, followed by interviews with three internal and one external reviewer. The application deadline for January 2027 intake is coming up soon, May 15th, 2026.
You can email the GAP at rachael@analyticalpsychology.org to book a place.
One week before the Open Morning, on March 21st, GAP joins the Association of Jungian Analysts and the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists for “Therapeutics on Neurodiversity,” an online conference exploring clinical work with neurodiverse individuals. Building on their November 2025 conference “On Neurodiversity: Theoretical and Clinical Aspects,” this gathering provides Jungian-focused exploration of working therapeutically with individuals with ADHD and autism, addressing both psychological and philosophical dimensions. Available to registered mental health practitioners and trainees at £50 through office@jungiananalysts.org.uk.
