Hosted by the International School of Analytical Psychology (ISAP), the program features a distinguished international faculty and a series of lectures designed to address the contemporary anxieties of the modern era. Guest speaker Catherine Cox will deliver a keynote titled “Radical Hope as a Way of Life,” drawing on her profound experiences traveling through war-torn Ukraine to examine how hope functions not as an intellectual concept, but as a lived survival strategy. Other featured speakers include Joseph Cambray and Daniela Boccassini, who will join ISAP faculty members such as Murray Stein and Allan Guggenbühl to investigate how the inner world of symbols and the “mythopoetic imagination” can transform collective despair into a source of renewed courage.
Beyond traditional lectures, the Odyssey highlights an experiential curriculum that encourages participants to engage with the psyche through various creative and somatic lenses. The week includes daily Social Dreaming Matrices, “Movement Medicine” dance sessions led by Ilaria Franchi, and specialized workshops like “The Song of the Soul.” The program also includes a screening and Jungian analysis of the acclaimed 2022 film The Quiet Girl, exploring themes of belonging and the unspoken. These sessions are designed to move beyond theory, helping attendees bridge the gap between their professional practice and their own internal landscapes.
The retreat runs from May 30th to June 6th. Those interested in attending can register here and download the complete program for details on the full week’s curriculum.
